Investigation of the Relative Effect of Sahara Dust's Elemental Structure on Plants' Growth In the process of atmospheric convection, Sahara Desert dust, originated from North Africa, is the most significant source of mineral aerosol. In this research, behaviors of the desert soil samples, brought from Sahara, inside the cloud were practiced under laboratory conditions they were simulated and the effects of certain types of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and durum wheat (Triticum durum L.) grown inside germination tanks as receiving environment were analyzed. Seedling length (cm.seedling-1) and photosynthetic pigments [chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll (a+ b) and carotenoids (c+x), mg ml-1 g Fresh Weight-1] have been determined. Plants were grown in controlled climate chamber, and the results were analyzed statistically. The results of this study indicate that, wheat cultivars fed by irradiated Saharan soil solution application length and its effects on photosynthetic pigments gave comparable results to Hewitt nutrient solution.References
